@ai6yr @briankrebs OFC this targets #TechIlliterates and the only effective means here are:

  1. Teach #TechLiteracy instead of consumerism.
  2. Mandate #confirmation & #notification - #PopUp|s for every use of #Clipboard (similar to #webcam use by websites)...
  3. Ban #JavaScript - seriously!
  4. Ban #Windows, because it's a #Govware, espechally since #Windows10 and even more so on #Windows11 that is *insecure in every configuration!
  5. Put #TechIlliterates before a system they can't feck up. I.e. @tails_live @tails / #Tails for that reason alone (can't run such commands if they neither got #root nor any #persistent #storage to target).
  6. Normalize the use of @torproject #TorBrowser!
  7. #Teach #tech #literacy instead of #consumerism!
  8. Ban #GAFAMs and their shitty products!
  9. Migrate every #TechIlliterate to #Linux and don't give them administrative privilegues.
  10. Teach tech literacy instead of consumerism!

Curious if any other #jaws users have noticed some weirdness with copying things to the clipboard lately, especially in #WebBrowsers. I primarily use #MicrosoftEdge but have noticed it in other places too. Take this for example: I'm writing some notes on #WCAG success criteria in #Joplin, getting some information from this page on understanding WCAG. I selected the number and name of SC 1.2.3 and pressed CTRL+C. JAWS should have copied " 1.2.3 Audio Description or Media Alternative (Prerecorded)", but all it copied was "1.2.3 ". I tried this several times, making sure I had all the text selected. It's not the first time it's happened lately, either. I've noticed it for at least the last few weeks, and it's very frustrating. Sometimes I'll switch to #NVDA just because I know it will copy things correctly.

Couldn't sleep, this thought hit me as I lay in bed:

For those who dismiss Linux because their favorite game isn't supported, maybe it's worth considering the broader issues in the gaming industry.

Many AAA titles now cost upwards of $70, but have you ever wondered about the pay disparity between the developers and executives? The gaming industry, like many others, often struggles with fair compensation.

While the CEOs and top executives might be living comfortably, many of the hardworking developers and artists are often underpaid for their efforts. Even in successful mainstream titles that generate significant revenue, the wealth distribution isn't always equitable.

I've been playing #Warframe sicne May 2019, and it's prompted me to research the company behind it and how they operate. It's interesting to see the differences between various game developers and publishers.

I'm not suggesting we should stop enjoying games altogether. However, it might be worth considering where our money goes when we purchase these expensive AAA titles. The current system has its flaws, and it's something I find myself pondering more and more.

Just some late-night thoughts as I try to drift off to sleep.
